01. Problem
The company faced critical challenges in supply chain visibility. Planning data, invoices, freight information, and receiving processes were fragmented across silos, limiting coordination between order management and final delivery.
There was no automated mechanism to assess whether available inventory could meet real production demand, creating risks of stockouts or excess inventory. In addition, operations relied on reactive processes with no short-term predictive capability to optimize inventory and transportation flows.

02. Assessment
DB’s technical assessment determined that the solution required more than isolated reporting, pointing instead to the creation of a Logistics Center of Excellence (CoE). The analysis revealed that critical intelligence was locked within SAP, requiring a robust extraction and transformation framework to convert raw data into actionable insights.
It also identified the need to integrate seven distinct logistics domains, connecting inventory, production, and distribution into a single centralized analytics environment to ensure full end-to-end supply chain visibility.

03. Solution
To operationalize the Farol initiative, DB delivered 40+ agile sprints focused on building domain-oriented data products. The solution extracted and processed 90+ complex SAP tables, transforming raw data into structured logistics intelligence.
A centralized analytics environment was created with 60+ customized dashboards tailored to different decision-making levels. Predictive models were implemented for cycle inventory tracking and stock coverage analysis, alongside short-term forecasting capabilities.
This architecture enabled seven logistics domains to operate in an integrated way, relying on a single source of truth for decision-making across the supply chain.
